FREE SJK TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE / WINDOWS SUPPORT
Windows won’t start? Try these safe first steps
If Windows is stuck at startup, restarting repeatedly, or showing Automatic Repair, start with the least disruptive checks before changing firmware settings or reinstalling Windows.

1. Note exactly what you see
Take a picture of any error or stop code. Does the computer power on and display the manufacturer’s logo, or is there no power or picture at all? An error after the logo suggests a different problem from a machine that never powers on.
2. Disconnect nonessential accessories
Unplug external drives, memory cards, docks and other unnecessary USB devices. Leave the power adapter, display, keyboard and mouse connected as needed. Restart once and note whether anything changes.
3. Use Startup Repair if Windows offers it
When the Windows recovery screen is available, select Troubleshoot → Advanced options → Startup Repair. Follow the prompts. Some recovery options require your BitLocker recovery key. If Windows still opens, you can reach Advanced startup in Settings under System → Recovery.
4. Stop before a reset or reinstall
Do not choose Reset this PC, format a drive, or reinstall Windows until you understand the effect on your files and have reviewed backups. A reset may remove files or apps. If the device won’t power on, has liquid damage, or has a damaged laptop charging port, describe the symptoms before booking; hardware repairs may be outside our scope.
Can you help when Windows won’t boot?
We can discuss the symptoms and guide appropriate recovery steps. Remote access may not be possible until the device can start and connect; the technician will confirm what support is feasible.
